A housing lottery has been launched for 223 mixed income units at Story Avenue West in the South Bronx. Qualifying New Yorkers who earn between 30% and 110% of the area’s median income are invited to apply. Monthly rents will run from $389 for a studio to $2,066 for a three-bedroom apartment. Amenities include parking, laundry room, fitness room and a playground. The location is near the 200+ acre Soundview Park, as well as the 6 train, BX5 bus and the Clason Point Park ferry route. Applications will be accepted until May 13, 2019.
- The rental building is a new block that is developed by Nelson Management Group and L+M development partners and it is one of two new structures on the site.
- The rental buildings lie in the Lafayette-Boynton residential complex and is available to eligible New Yorkers who earn the area income that is stated.
- The buildings have lots of amenities and they include an on-site superintend, a fitness center, a laundry room, parking, bike storage, and playground.
