Boston Properties teamed up with WeWork and Rudin Development in order to build the 675,000 square-foot office building that holds 16 different units. The building was constructed in order to work harmoniously against the waterfront, and was meant to overlook the beautiful views of Wallabout Bay. There are high ceilings and large windows for visitors to peer out and indulge in the gorgeous view. These windows also aid in letting in an extensive amount of natural light.
- The new building at Brooklyn’s Navy yard is part of the $1 billion dollar expansion. A number of new buildings will be making a debut in the Navy Yard.
- The 16 story office building was co-developed by Boston Properties, which will occupy about 1/3 of the building.
- The building captures views of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines but also includes views of Wallabout Bay. It will offer high ceilings and outdoor terraces.
“Designed by S9 Architecture, Fogarty Finger, and Perkins Eastman, the waterfront structure, which has its own ferry stop that debuted in May, offers stunning views of Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline and intends to honor the Navy Yard’s maritime history”
