At the Brooklyn Community Board 2 meeting, officials announced that the Willoughby Square Park renovation project will be soon be underway. The new park will include a lawn, a play area, and a dog park for everyone’s four-legged friends. There will also be an art display with a piece that depicts a scenery from the historical abolitionist movement. Brooklyn residents have been waiting for this project to take place since 2004, and was finally passed amidst a legal battle during the process.
