Night life in the city of New York is big! It brings in 35 million in revenue and a whopping 700 million in taxes. It means so much to the city that the major now has an Office of Media and Entertainment. They are developing policies to encourage what happens at night. Another reason this time is so important is that it adds 300,000 jobs to the area. This part of the job industry is growing at a fast rate than day time jobs and the rate of pay is rising too. Only one borough, Staten Island failed to grow significantly during the night time hours.
