Catskill Carriage offers denizens of the Big Apple a plusher, friendlier way to make the trip between NYC and the the Catskills for a short trip out of the city. The Catskills offer a cheaper, more laid-back, more authentic experience for New Yorkers than the Hamptons, but Gabriel Brodbar noticed that people seemed to find the trip itself a miserable slog, and set out to change that. Catskill Carriage offers far more comfortable seats and bathrooms than a normal bus, along with Wi-Fi and outlets, and helps make the trip of a few hours (traffic dependent) a part of your vacation instead of a grueling slog. Pickup occurs on Friday afternoons at bars and breweries, with return trips on Sunday.
- The Catskill Carriage is a new shuttle service arrangement, designed to take Catskill-bound New Yorkers from mid-town to the mountains.
- The shuttle service features, reclining seats, free WIFI, spacious bathrooms and power outlets, for its passengers.
- With the Catskills experiencing what Catskill Carriage founder, Gabriel Brodbar calls a ‘renaissance,’ Brodbar felt that visitors deserved a newer and better way to get to the trending destination.
“The new service aims to do for the Catskills what Hampton Jitney has done for the beach”
